GETTING STARTED
Sign up with your email on the website or the Portal, build a quick profile, then verify your Apex rank. Once verified, onboarding completes and you unlock teams, scrims, and the leaderboard. One account works everywhere in the FWG ecosystem.
We pull your live Apex rank straight from the official Apex stats API (the one behind apexlegendsstatus.com) using your in-game name and platform. That sets your verified rank (Rookie through Predator) and your starting seed. We never need your Apex password or account login.
No. Your FWG account is shared — sign up once and it carries across the website and the Portal. No double signup.
TEAMS
Captains, coaches, and managers create a team from the Portal. You choose a team name, a 2–5 character tag (must be unique), and a region. Your team starts as a Self-Created Team (SCT), and the person who makes it becomes the captain automatically.
The team captain sends you an invite. You get a notification (bell + push) — accept it and you're added to the roster. Invites expire after 72 hours, and you can only be on one team at a time.
SCT (Self-Created Team) is any squad you and your friends form yourselves. ORG teams are official, FWG-verified organizations — the next tier up. Both compete in the same scrims and standings.
Yes, but there's a 24-hour cooldown after leaving a team before you can create or join another — it keeps rosters stable and prevents last-minute dodging.
FORGED POINTS
Forged Points are FWG's competitive scoring, earned every scrim game. Here's the honest version: everyone at FWG respects and still plays by the ALGS point system — placement and kills. We didn't want to replace something that's already been perfected; we just felt it needed one more thing: Time Survived. So FP is the full ALGS system, built on with a Time Survived factor that rewards the squads who stay in the fight the longest. Your total FP sets your Wolf Tier and your rank on the leaderboard.
It's ALGS-style scoring: placement points + 1 point per kill, plus a small Time Survived bonus. Placement pays 1st = 12, 2nd = 9, 3rd = 7, 4th = 5, 5th = 4, 6th = 3, 7th–8th = 2, 9th–10th = 1. A kill is a full elimination worth +1 FP — knockdowns aren't scored on their own, same as ALGS — and staying alive longer adds a small survival bonus. Time Survived is also the final tiebreaker in the standings.
Stand-By points keep lobby quality high — they're a merit currency, not competitive Forged Points, and the best teams in a lobby never get them. Matchmaking keeps the best-matched teams together; a team that doesn't fit that lobby's quality bracket (and would drag the games down) is placed on stand-by instead. Those teams earn Stand-By points, and once they build up enough they can create and run their own lobby with teams at their level. It replaces paying for scrim priority — you earn your way into your own games.
CCR & SEEDING
CCR is your true competitive rating, used for matchmaking and standings tiebreaks. It starts seeded from your Apex rank (Predator 2000, Master 1700, Diamond 1400, Platinum 1100, Gold 800, Silver 500, Bronze 250, Rookie 100) and is then finalized from your real performance — placement, kills, efficiency, and FP earned.
When you join, you play a provisional period of 5 sets (30 games) with your CCR pinned to your rank seed. During seeding we track your placement, kills, and efficiency. After 30 games your final CCR locks in — and from there it moves purely on match results.
Lobbies are balanced by CCR/ELO with a snake draft so games stay competitive. Higher CCR means tougher lobbies and stiffer competition.
RANKS & WOLF TIERS
Rookie, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Predator. Predator is the live top-750 per platform, pulled straight from the Apex API — not a fixed RP number, so it moves as the ladder moves.
Wolf Tiers are FWG's own FP-based ranks: Wolfs Paw (0–1,199 FP), Rising Wolves (1,200–2,499), Legion Wolves (2,500–4,499), and Apex Wolves (4,500+). Everyone starts at Wolfs Paw and climbs by earning Forged Points.
No. Your rank gets you in the door, but Wolf Tiers and Forged Points are earned by showing up and grinding scrims. A Silver who grinds can out-climb a Diamond who doesn't.
SCRIMS
Your team signs up for a scrim pool. When it fills, teams are matched into ALGS-format lobbies (up to 20 teams each), you play a set of games, and every game's results award Forged Points. You'll get an alert the moment your lobby is set.
In order: Forged Points, then Kills, then Placement, then Time Survived. Two teams tied on points are split by kills, then by average placement, and finally by whichever squad survived the longest.
Before a scrim, teams draft their landing spots (POIs) so no two squads fight over the same drop, and a rotating legend ban list keeps the meta fresh round to round.
